  • 200 ml of milk;
  • bag of dry yeast;
  • some salt.

Components for the filling:

  • 35 g coconut flakes;
  • 75 g of sugar;
  • 20 g butter.

Buns are prepared in the following sequence:

  1. Yeast is mixed with salt, sugar and milk are added, mixed again.
  2. To the milk-yeast mixture add softened margarine, flour. It is desirable to make the dough light, so the amount of flour can be reduced.
  3. The dough is placed in the refrigerator for several hours.
  4. The chips are carefully rubbed with sugar and butter into a mass of uniform consistency.
  5. Dough is crushed by hands, spread on a table and divided in half.
  6. Each part is rolled into a layer, the filling is laid out, twisted with a roll, cut into equal parts with a knife obliquely.
  7. Transfer the buns to a baking sheet, grease with an egg, sprinkle sugar on top, let stand a little and bake until tender.

Coconut buns can be poured with melted chocolate, and vanilla is added to the dough to enhance the aroma. If you pour the buns with chocolate icing, then baking will be a worthy addition to the festive table.

A prerequisite for the preparation of this baking is the use of brown sugar. This gives the finished dish a caramel flavor and rich warm color.

Coconut balls

Italian macaroons with chocolate
